In Music We Trust is a not-for-profit organization that was founded by a group of music industry professionals as a resource for music programs in the public schools. It is In Music We Trust’s goal to find mutually beneficial ways in which the entertainment industry and the schools can work together to provide comprehensive music training for all secondary school students. We firmly believe that music training should encompass both the artistic and business aspects of the entertainment industry. In addition to enriching students intellectually and spiritually, music is a valid career path and should be presented as such.

To date, In Music We Trust has educated hundreds of students and teachers through guest speakers, teachers’ meetings and field trips. We not only encourage students to become involved in the arts but also provide them with a glimpse of the creative process and the nature of the industry itself. By sharing our knowledge and experience we help students to understand the issues which face us as creators. This understanding is critical to the continued survival of the music industry, and it is our mission to reach out to every secondary school student in America. The primary tool through which we hope to accomplish that mission is our All Access: Careers in the Music Industry program.

The leading edge of the All Access program is MUSI© Magazine which will be delivered to the Chicago Public School system during the 2005-2006 school year. Through MUSI© students will be able to explore all the diverse facets of the music industry. The magazine is the most effective means of providing consistent and correct information to all the students to whom it can be of use, and it will be integrated seamlessly into the existing music curriculum. MUSI© will be augmented with guest speakers, field trips and independent projects wherever possible.

In Music We Trust has already partnered with the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers as well as the Education-to-Careers department of the Chicago Public Schools to produce the All Access program. The Foundation is seeking to form strategic financial and advisory partnerships with other music business companies and individuals to ensure that All Access has the greatest possible impact.
